A Unique Fusion of Fashion & Art
The Art of Fashion is an event unlike any other in Central Florida. Local boutiques and designers will display the latest fashion trends against the backdrop of one of the area’s premiere art galleries. This year, the Art of Fashion will feature a guest emcee, entertainment reporter Allison Walker Torres, and sounds from one of the hottest DJ’s in Central Florida, DJ Nigel John. The event will include a large silent auction with donations from both local and national businesses. Please join us for a fabulous evening complete with catering from Bento Cafe, an onsite sushi chef, champagne, wine, and dessert. Net proceeds will benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research.

The Art of Fashion is hosted by Tonya Walker a/k/a “The Shoe Maven.” Tonya has turned her passion for fashion into a platform for raising awareness of young-onset Parkinson’s disease. Tonya has been living with Parkinson’s since the age of 32 and has undergone two brain surgeries to help manage the symptoms. She and her husband, Chad, created The Art of Fashion three years ago to support the critical work of The Michael J Fox Foundation.
We are excited to announce Allison Walker Torres as our guest emcee this year! Allison is a 3-time Emmy-award winning entertainment reporter/anchor on News 13. As the entertainment specialist for News 13, Allison interviews some of the biggest celebrities in music, TV and movies. Some of her most notable interviewees were John Travolta, Dustin Hoffman, Jennifer Aniston, John Stamos, Michael Douglas, Goldie Hawn, George Hamilton, and Woody Harrelson, among countless others. You’ve probably seen Allison on Tuesday and Friday on News 13 during her entertainment feature “On the Town“, or on Saturday and Sunday during her “On the Town Calendars” covering some of the weekend’s must-see events. Allison is sure to add to the excitement at this year’s Art of Fashion.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensure the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson’s today. Established by actor Michael J. Fox in 2000, the Foundation has since become the largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson’s disease research in the world, investing more than $650 million in research to date. 100% of the proceeds donated through Team Fox events, such as The Art of Fashion, are used to fund research for improved treatments and the search for a cure.
